Inspired by Juliet Simms

Still upset that Juliet Simms didn't win The Voice last night. Regardless, I think she wins the style award.

Prada SS2012

Prada's Spring/Summer 2012 line combines classic American style with classic American cars.

Cars and women: two things a man could talk about for hours. The two are equally as powerful to a man's ego. The sleek lines on a car can be as arousing to a man as the lines on a woman's body. It is for this reason that Miuccia Prada combined them into one with the spring/summer line. Each piece of the colletion is inspired by classic American cars. Dripping in antique jewelry, knee-length silhouettes, and beautiful soft colors, it's hard to NOT fall in love with this collection.

Dakota Fanning graced the February cover of Elle Magazine wearing a high-waisted, knee-length leather skirt with a car & flame grapHic on the front. The strong color-blocking of the skirt combined with the flowy blue fabric of the shirt made for a breathtaking look. Not to mention her soft curls and the always needed red lip.

The skirt is seen again on this model; this time paired with a yellow crop top, an up-do, and bright red heels. Each piece is versatile and adaptable to any wardrobe... Sexy or sophisticated. The collection contains very few dresses. Each piece can be combined with another, giving women the option to create their own automotive identity.

The accessories add the finishing touch to the collection. My favorite being these car inspired sunglasses and stunning vintage inspired earrings. All aspects of the collection can be seen in the advertising campaign video:

Wayne Carini...  you're not the only one "Chasing Classic Cars."
But you won't find any barn-finds here.

I keep dancin' on my own.

ROBYN: I envy your ability to find the world's craziest leggings and pair them with platform shoes.

Oh... and your dance moves.

Dance on, my intergalactic fashion queen.

Inspired by Drive

Although his character is nameless and almost silent throughout the film, Ryan Gosling speaks volumes with his style in Drive. Gosling channels Steve McQueen with his worn-in leather gloves and seemingly effortless style. His staple outfit consists of dark denim jeans, a dirty white henley, and a custom-made scorpion jacket. The jacket was inspired by Korean souvenir jackets from the fifties, and becomes somewhat of a "uniform" for Gosling's character. He also sports some beautiful Stacy Adams leather boots, tortoise shell aviators by Selima Optique, and a sleek Patek Phillipe watch. Men, TAKE NOTES. Never underestimate the power of a good pair of jeans, a worn in pair of boots, and a great fitting t-shirt. Looking sexy doesn't cost a fortune. (Unless you really want that Patek Phillipe watch.)

I also fell in love with Carey Mulligan's hair in Drive. The wheaty blonde color looks great on her, and I loved the soft, side-swept bang. She also wore clips that took me back to my elementary school days... am I the only one that remembers those cute little snap clips? I don't know many people that can pull of this hairstyle, but she looked amazing. She also wears little to no makeup in the film.

Short hair, no make up, and you still look cute?! Screw you, Carey Mulligan!

Aside from the style aspects of the movie, I fell in love with the music. I highly recommend downloading the soundtrack. The soundtrack syncs perfectly with the clothes in the film. Here's a little sample.

The music and fashion (and Ryan Gosling's face) make this movie worth watching. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. However, be forewarned.

This movie is as violent as it is stylish!
